Collective Worship + Family Sharing Assembly

We gather for collective worship every day. On a Friday we hold a special celebration at 2.45pm, with families joining us to share our successes and find out about our special learning for the week. Collective Worship is delivered by lots of different people.

Reverend Don Mehen and his wife Sandra, join us frequently at Bentley School for assemblies, to tell us fabulous stories and discuss Christian beliefs and passages from the Bible.

The Open the Book team join us once a month to bring a Bible story to life through drama and readings.

Our Governors sometimes join us too, to share a story or event which helps us to think about others around the world.

We aim to visit our local churches St Peter's and St Mary’s throughout the year to celebrate special occasions collectively.

Further information about Collective worship in each school can be found in our Collective Worship Policies.

At Bentley School, our School Worship Group organises special acts of worship at Harvest, Christmas and Easter which are often held at St Mary’s Church.

With the help of our Foundation Governors we evaluate each act of worship so we can improve the experience for next time.

"Know that I am with you always," Matthew 28:20 We encourage the spiritual, social, moral and cultural development of the school family by embedding Christian values into everyday life. Our vision is for all children to be confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens who are well equipped for future life, knowing that God is with them always.
